After the Ombudsman Institution of Turkey started to receive applications
for complaints, a new era started in Turkey, in which the principles of good
administration would be referred to as the legal and administrative auditing
standards.
A number of positive developments have been recorded in the field of good
administration in the recent years both in Turkey and across the World. With a
view to adoption of the understanding of the good administration, rules have
been established in many legal texts, new institutions have been established, and
existing institutions have been restructured in line with the new developments.
In this context, a number of important developments seen both in our country
and the European Union in the recent years have been briefly addressed in the
following sections.
