No citizen of this country can discriminate his or her any neighbor or
friend on the basis of origin or region and they cannot do this. The
moment we classify our friends, neighbors like Turkish, Kurdish, Alevi,
Sunni, western or eastern, it would be the day we are entrapped by
the terrorist organization. Each and every one of 78 million citizens of
this country is entitled to equal rights and values. Each and every one
of them is our brother or sister with whom we have shared the past
and will live together in the future. The ones pointing at the President,
Prime-minister or the government as the culprit of the skirmishes, the
death-tolls or the terrorist acts and the ones unconsciously support
these efforts are the major supporters of the terrorist organization.

Tomorrow, the term of office of Tayyip Erdoğan will terminate. Next
one will replace the current government. But, the damages infected
by the terrorist organization to this country and the nation will be
permanent. Political competition or personal grudge is a different
story while the perpetual survival of the country and the nation is
another. The ones who mix these two will not be exempt from being
held accountable vis-à-vis history and this nation.
Yes, we have been going through challenging days but we fulheartedly
believe that Turkey’s future is bright. God willing, Turkey will achieve
its goals of 2023 and will not content with that and will proceed by
implementing its vision for 2053 and 2071. 3 rd INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON OMBUDSMAN INSTITUTIONS
Bearing these feelings in mind, I would like thank esteemed
Ombudsman and his team and the ones who made this two daylong
event happen. In advance, I would like to extend my personal thanks
to the guests who will contribute with their valuable ideas and insight.
