Then some statistical data in ombudsman office, the result of verification
procedures indicate that firstly insufficient amount of the disability
pension and social benefits the amount of disability pension depends on
the social security contributions and length of service. In case the person
hasn’t worked over length of service is insufficient a minimum pension or
social benefits is granted to the person ranging from 64 Euros to 106 Euros.
Secondly, technical aids, the main problem the quality and accessibility of
technical aids, accessibility and discrimination at the workplace. Unequal
attitude to disabled persons it is quiet hot topic in Latvia.
Next, in addition to the implementation monitoring in 2014 we have
conducted social survey in order to find out the attitude of society
towards disabled persons and survey of disabled persons on how
they feel themselves in the society and of municipalities in order to
define activities they perform to improve the life of disabled persons.
Little bit later I will show you some good practice that is guaranteed by
municipalities. This monitoring or survey at time period can be seen on
the slide these from 16 of September 2014 till 30 of September 2014.

Survey for society, the question was said do you think people with
disability should fully participate in public life? Here the chart shows
the results of the survey depending on the type of functional disorder
and you can see then people with psychosocial disability are not very
welcome in society and the next slide we will show also the same
situation. Do you think people with disability should become parents
if they decide to? Here you can observe the results of the answers
to the question and the same in the previous slide then people with
psychosocial disability are not welcomed from society side to become
as parent.
The question was said in this slide you can see the question was said,
do you think the children with disability should study together with
your child? As we can see a part of society understand and recognize
the rights of disabled person as equal in society if we speak of person
of vision, hearing and movement disabilities. If the society more
negative and speaking about persons with psychosocial intellectual
disabilities and here also you can see that children with psychosocial
disability are not very welcome in society, it is real situation in Latvia.
But if we see numbers or statistic children with other disabilities then
situation is different. Do you think that in particular situations people
